Locking + deadlock..
« on: 27 January 2011, 19:25:30 »

I have a slight problem with the remote locking on my car..

It looks first time everytime on the fob but the deadlocking seems to be a little lazy. As it never deadlocks streight away once car has been started/driven. It found however it tends to not be as lazy if i hold the fob close the the drivers wing which then it will tend to deadlock (8/10) times

keyfob battery getting tired ???

Every press will actually reduce the output power slightly, so reducing both range and effectiveness. If it works on the "first" push .. then you wait 5 minutes and it works again .. but if you press it twice quickly and it doesn't work the second time ....

I'd go for a battery change .. 5 minute job ... CR 2032  just don't lose the tiny little chip from inside the fob....  :)

If it takes more than 5 minutes for you to do the job you'll need to resych the key .. :)  Key in ignition, switch on but don't start .. press lock, unlock .. job done .. :)
