Corsa c service indicator question
« on: 28 March 2016, 12:35:34 »

Since i'm on here, i'd thought i'd ask .......

On start up, the millage indicator on the dash says service due 0000 miles.
It was saying 1000 miles.

Had a play with "My Naff Code Reader" on the laptop and its not showing any DTC codes and I can't see any reset buttons  :(

How do I reset this pain in the arse reading ?
Combination of buttons know doubt  :-\

Service indicators are a f*****g pain in my arse!

I think it's a Mazda where you have to short out a pin in the engine bay fuse box to earth with a piece of wire, then ignition on and press accelerator ten times. I mean wtf is that about? Lol

Had a bit of fun getting it to reset
Might of pressed the brake pedal while having a tantrum and then hey presto, it worked  ::) ;D

I did notice that they seems to be a sub menu in there  :-\
Noticed that at one point, the top line read 36.8 and the bottom line read 26 od thousand  :-\

Anybody have a clue what that lot is about ?

Reminds me, I had an Ex Plod Omega quiet a few years back, the boot release was also wired up to the rear fog switch, guessing to get to the gun cabinet, the fogs bulbs wiring went directly to the front fuse box to some missing gubbins.

Took me a while to get my head around what was going on, due to it failing the MOT test for no fog lights.  ::)

Buy a Renault, you can reset it by holding down the reset button, just like resetting the trip counter. Why make it difficult? It's up to you whether you get your car serviced or not. :-\

No...a Renault is French and doesn't look anything like a corsa.  ???

IF it works. Don't expect it to work every time. Or you might find pressing it for 0.0000678 miliseconds longer than is actually required  will permanently reset the immobiliser. All because it's a Renault, and they can't be trusted.
