Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional...

Soon to be 55 here, discovered Mountain Biking about 10 years ago, now  career down all sorts of stuff from Wales, Scotland and to the Alps, probably the fittest I've ever been in my life (and the most injured when i fall off :-) ) I never used to be very energetic in my younger days. Just started to do a bit of running as well.

I recently added my 22 year old daughter to my car insurance for 7 days when we went for a weekend break to Wales just to share the driving.  I'm glad I did having had to sit in stationary traffic on the M4 for 2.5 hrs yesterday !

I'm now letting her loose in it for a trip to Crawley this evening by herself, will it come back ok ?

Completely agree. I have the Omega CID for the Siemens NCDC 2013 and the latest NavTeq CD. (This now takes postcodes!).

Where did you get this map CD from

Went to one of my local dealers for oil and filter..

Me: I want some oil and filter for a Omega

Him: yes sir, what engine size

Me: Its a 3.2

Him: Oh, I didn't know they did a 3.2

Me: And how long have you worked for Vauxhall (sarcastically)

Thats probably why he could only find I can of oil and not 4 for the 4 for the price of 3 offer...

Made a few transfers via the bank, not made easy but as said before can be around for me about £17.

Have been caught out once with the receiving bank charging me about 5 euros, (sent cash to cover that)

Goods have always been received, and communications in English as my German is non-existent

« on: 26 September 2008, 16:55:37 »
I have bought stuff from German Ebay, along with a CID for my Omega, the one problem is not all German Ebayers take paypal, don't know why when its forced upon us in the UK.

You can't do a normal bank transfer to Germany, I had pay a visit to my Bank and they charged me £17.50.

On one transaction even the receiving bank removed about 5 Euro. So i had to send the money (cash this time) to cover that.

I've also found doing a European search on the UK Ebay site doesn't always find what your looking for, try looking at www.ebay.de first to find the item number then put it into the Uk site.

What kind of mileage are you getting on a 3.2 V6 around town. I get 17.5 mpg as shown on the display or 6.2km per litre.

Is this reasonable? What do others get?

About 18 to 19 around town, got up to 29mpg on the trip to Yorkshire and back

Strange question but does the fan work ?

I had my Acer laptop in to repair a broken firewire socket and unknown to me they had forgotten to reconnect the fan, the laptop was working fine till i tried to do a reinstall and the laptop would just stop midway without any reason.  Tried so many times without sucess.

Only later when I'd reconnected the fan would it reinstall properly..

Just my 2 pence worth...
