The only conditions are that the car must be available and reasonable in price ie affordable for mere mortals, not Mrs Opti prices ::)

So to set the ball rolling...

From the OOF pictures that I've seen, Mr TB is a decidedly portly man.....( Please note that I did not use the word fat) ::) ::) ::)

Therefore he needs a spacious car.

How about a Honda Leg-end?

They are well built, reliable, and older examples can be picked up for Omega type money. :y

He'd have to put on a bit of weight and recede his hair line a little to be accepted into the scooby-driving clan, though. ;)

EDIT: .. and get some old Iron Maiden teashirts.

Moi? ;D Their quick enough for MK roundabout sprints, but not so fast as to get into serious trouble on a motorway, more than ten minutes at 90 would be deafening, certainly not the waftability of a proper cruiser :-\

He'd be fine in one of those :y they're actually quite docile beasties :y

Besides, if he survives the first stupid thing, then it ought to be enough of a brown trouser event to calm him down for a decade ::) only 2 doors though :-\

On of my bro's had one of them, I still remember the reg.  What a crock of shite.  He sold it a few months later, as the repair and servicing bills were running at £400 a month (this was in the mid 1980s, and the car was 2 or 3 years old)

I have fond memories of all four of mine, including two absolute dogs, but looking at the interior pics they haven't half dated :o

Still, rear wheel drive, no ABS, bomb proof gearbox, and built like a tank. Not forgetting electric heated front seats and aircon either 8)

I've driven one of these -  :-X :-X :-X :o :o :D.

I reckon even in the D5 form you wont get much closer to Omega comfort and pace and terrific value for money. East do 200k too. The one I drove had ventilated seats  ??? - it's the future  :y :y
