Only an issue if you fail to clean up properly Mr Opti... I tend to strip the affected area and clean every item individually. I can't stand the smell of the stuff, so a quick wipe with a sticky tissue just doesn't cut it IMHO :y

i thought we were keeping that secret!

Very Nice.  :y :y :y

E-Series Merc, seems to be the way to go as it is the only Omega Estate replacement available.

Well, after two busy nights in town, the fuel economy seems to be consistent...

Trip computer has two modes: Since Reset and Since Start, the latter essentially a current day one.

I reset it in Sheffield on Wednesday, now showing 700ish miles at an average of 37.8mpg.
The day to day figures were 31.4 for Friday and 31.8 for Saturday, so 31-32 is looking like its working average, which given that it's an auto, a large car, and doing alot of stop start work, I don't think it's too bad. A mate has had one for six months now, and his does about 31 around town, so mine seems typical :y

Agreed. :y

I'm unsure as to how accurate most trip computers are.,......but I imagine that most manufacturers like to be 'optimistic' ::) ::) with the truth.

Having said that, when I performed a 'brim to brim' test on the Omega it was pretty accurate.......within about 2%. :y :y

Fabulous car, Mr Al. :y :y :y

Bung me the extra £8k and I'll consider it ;D

Besides, mine is better equipped than both the 350s I looked at :y

Lovely car  :y

I'm in the same boat. Need a big reliable estate, I can't justify keeping a 3.2 MV6 jst as a hobby, I do a lot of miles and a car need to earn it's keep.

Also been considering XC70 Volvo . . . . . hmmmmmm    :-\       :-\

 . . . . if only the MV6 was half its age

They do appear to go for a lot more, odd when it's just a bigger engine really  :-\

For The Volvo XC70 is a large estate car with a modicum of off-road ability. The cabin is comfortable, and built to a very high standard. Standard equipment is generous.

Against The XC70's ride is choppy around town, while the steering is vague and the engines feel dated. The boot is rather shallow, too.

Thats what What Car said about the Volvo  :(
