OK, think I have a problem with my head unit  :-/
Read the manual & it says it's operated with the key with ignition logic on & with the on/off button with it off. I've tried both setting & it will switch on but won't switch off without removing the security panel.
It looks like it's been taken out at some point too because a couple of the grub screws have not been put back in all the way........

OK, I've sussed the bass/treble.
I'd changed the setting to 0 on the radio, the CD is still on +3, still can't get it to switch off without taking the security panel off though...
Not that familiar with the ccrt unit, unlike the earlier car300/400/ccr600/800 units which all operate the same way.  It may be one you may have to look up in manual. Do you have one?  If so, look for On/Off Logic....
Yes, I took a quick look at it, I'll have a good look through it today....

Also noticed; yesterday I was having a play & changed the bass/treble to 0.
Today they're back at +3 which they were originally?

Also the the only way I can switch it off when the ignition is off is pop the front panel off?

Cool, I'll be in touch.  You ever get yours running right?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Alarm/windows
« on: 01 March 2007, 22:12:53 »
My car seems to have gremlins at the moment!  :-?

I left the drivers window open earlier whilst looking under the bonnet so I could switch the ignition on/off easier.
I locked it & closed the window with the fob but when I looked out earlier the alarm LED wasn't flashing.
Unlocked & re-locked from the house & still no alarm flashing. Went out & the window button LED's were lit.
Opened drivers door & closed it, set the alarm & all OK!
Anyone else come accross this?

Thanks ror the replies chaps,is the controller very difficult to get to The fan stays on all the time until i pull the fuse,an awnser to one of the replies, yes my car has climate control.
thanks again
Dave.
Exactly the same as me.
As Mark said it's behind the glove box so this has to come out.
Then if you look up behind the dash you will see the fan casing, the controller is attached to the case.
It's not difficult, just fiddley.

I assume you mean the internal blower motor.....if so then I suspect you also have climate control.....

In which case

1) Clear your scuttle drain out....
2) Replace the speed controller behind the passenger glove compartment, its got.had water in it.
Yep, had the same on mine last year....

...you coull then also take it a stage further to do auto lock whilst moving....
I like the sound of that, my brother had it on his Laguna & my boss had it about 10 years ago on his Jag (originally owned by Richard Branson).

I have one in mine & it does the same.......
so do you leave it in ? am gonna try her 8 led one and see what that does
Mick
Yes I leave it in & mine's the 8 LED type.
As said earlier I think there's always a current running through unless the ignition is on but it's not enough to light an ordinary bulb.
I've just left the car for a week whilst on holiday & it started fine...
