clock/info unit
« on: 16 December 2020, 21:55:39 »

As I have no hand book would like to know what clock/info unit displays, can see top section is factory radio only? Its an 85 model year so apart from clock and date what else does it show and if its not plugged in will it upset other stuff?

I assume you meant model year '95 not '85?
With the ignition on you can cycle through the various display options using the button on the end of the wiper arm. At ignition on "CHECK" is displayed until you press the brake pedal. Other items are outside temp and ice warning, range, instantaneous fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, trip computer, average speed and maybe others. The display also shows up warnings about low coolant, low wash fluid, oil level low and oil lack, defective bulbs and probably others. All pretty self explanatory.

Obviously none of these will work if you disconnect the screen.

Plod spec is limited to clock, outside temp and radio. Warnings are xenon field vision warning(if fitted) and brake pads.
Leaving it out is no issue
