It's a Lenovo Yoga 7i.

All I know is that it has an 11th generation intel i7 processor and 512 SSD.....because it says so on the box.

It seems ok.

The 1 TB of SSD was for Mrs Opti's computer.......cost around £80 but made a huge difference to how quickly it responded.

My old laptop has 256 GB of SSD, but I think this may be f*ucked as I couldn't get it to boot up.

Thats not an SSD, but an M.2 drive.  M.2 is generally faster, but only fits M.2 slots.  SSD is a little slower, but can actually replace a hard disk.

Not really, people are free to buy whatever tat they like. Be it Mercedes Benz cars or consumer grade branded laptops designed to fail at the end of the warranty period.  Makes no difference to me.

But because I buy decent reliable stuff, that has the side effect of my newest Windows PC is 7th gen Core, and most are 2/3rd gen
