Yesterday, took the pussy to Londonium again. Not the centre this time (so the major can stuff his charges up his jacksie), but just off the north circ, not far from that shithole called Wembley.

Apparently, there is no lockdown in that area. Either that, or the locals, unable to speak English, are unaware of the rules...   ...which don't apply to them anyway.

The screen wash froze again :(.  It really does need heated nozzles, in order to compete with a 25yr old Omega (which is also able to set the clock itself, adjust the interior mirror from the memory system, and has a grab handle for the front seat passenger).

I imagine this is an essential feature when TB is driving.  :o  ;D

Removed the offside headlight on the Mondeo and had a little poke about inside to see if I could see anything obvious that would cause the fault message that pops up whenever I drive at night.  :-\

Couldn't see anything, put it back and got frost bitten fingers!  ::)

Heated jets are easy enough to retro fit. The Barge has the potential to heat the washer bottle, which whilst not fitted, is a couple of hoses that run from the hbv to the bottle and back, so would be easy to retrofit. The jets are heated though 8)

Guess that Jaaag chose to save 50p by not cutting a couple of notches above the front doors for the retaining clips for the grab handles and another 50p not fitting the handles...

Does the XF have handles that might be retrofitted to the XJ?

Minus 6 was the coldest we had this week. Asda ready mixed came straight out of the nozzles, £2 for 5 litres.

It is still a great car. I guess it has survived due to it's Honda engine and power train. Originally, mine had a manual steering rack bur I retro- fitted power steering using parts from a suitable donor vehicle.
All 3 1.6 petrols fitted to the 216GSi had issues. The 2 Honda lumps had issues with the Igniter units, and the K series had HG issues under certain circumstances.

And the normally reliable Peugeot diesels had a French sniffy fit at being installed in an Anglo-Jap design.
