....
 and after 50 years of using wing / door mirrors, altering my line of vision to look at the door panel to see what was behind wasn't as easy as it sounds. ....

I've had my ML for over 4 & a half years. It has a reverse camera but I still default to using the mirrors first .... I maybe use it for the final bit of parking etc
My daughter though uses her reverse camera by default  :-\

I had an 827 Vitesse with the Honda V6 in it, cracking car which I miss a lot.

I was once lent one as a courtesy car ..... my undying memory of it was its turning circle. The Amoco Cadiz could have made a smaller U turn! And also its massive understeer!

When I left school, 30 was an imaginary number. In two years it will be 30 years since I left school.

Although from recent events it would seem that 52 is a reasonable time to go :-X

Sprog!  ::) ::)

It'll be 45 years this coming summer since I left school & joined up!  ???

I find it astonishing that it went on for so long, 15 years or so I think, and apparently no one at the Post Office thought it strange that there were so many Post Masters with their hand in the till.  :-\

more like 20

Well, I did what I shouldn't do at the moment and laid on the floor and found the clip to release the bulb unit, before getting into the inner part where the bulb was.  Bulb changed, so another thing off the list before the MOT in January. :y

To think the Vx dealer wanted £27 to do that! :o :o

My MOT tester failed me for a Dip beam bulb a few years ago, he fitted me one and when the Test bill came in I asked about the bulb as ther was no charge.  all I got was see you this time next year. :y :y
A few years back Mrs B's Citroen went to AN Other local tester (because I'd left it to the last minute .... ie the MOT had expired  :-X) he failed it for a duff rear bulb & then subsequently passed it after he'd fitted a new one. No charge for the new bulb but ....... fast forward some time, I discovered that he'd broken the rear cluster. Obviously I couldn't then prove it.
I hold my hands up for letting the MOT expire & not checking the car properly before submitting it for test ..... but he didn't hold his hands up for over tightening the cluster's thumb screw & breaking it  :-X
They say that most people don't complain about bad service but then never ever use that service provider again ..... count me in with 'most people'
