cheers guys....

LB66... Graham helped me with the fluid, although it was a top up really, and not a drain. When he has a free half day I am planning to pop over to his with all the bits needed to give it a damn good service.

What kind of fluid shall i buy for the auto box? - Got a TC number here, going to try and use that on the dealer down the road for some oil filters.

Tunnie, if the dealer is EH in MK, I have a TC number that is on their computer!
PM me if you want it.
Depending who servers me in EH @ MK, I usually end up losing my rag as they make a song and dance about taking my card  >:(

the cutting on the M40 (steep hill section)
Affectionately known as Chicken Sh!t Canyon to (some!) locals...

Is that the one at the west end of the M40 (pre extension)?

if you want to see somewhere fun to use the sennie's grunt to embarrass the wannabe boy racers.....  check out Rhuallt hill on the A55 coast road in north Wales.

start at the bottom doing 70....  accelerate rapidly up it, going over the top at xxx mph....   ...

takes the smiles off the faces of the majority of other drivers !

especially as it includes some fairly wide sweeping S curves on the way...

going up Broadway hill in the cotswolds is also worth a wry smile.......   tight corners,, and steep hills....   Senators love em....

Not so easy with that car as at the time it had blown the 3.54 diff and was running a 4.41 diff with maximum speed being just into three figures rather than quite a bit more

I know that one - Fish Hill, same trip to CA nearly lost the Sunbeam taking the corners too fast, only slowed for the three corners, overtook a loony as well!!!

Loony = someone who overtakes when not safe and is generally a pest - this one was a PITA around Evesham.

I blew the Carlton gear box on Crickley hill!!!! - ended up PXing for my first Omega

Its amazing the amount of cars (or drivers) that cant cope well with that hill.
Much prefer going up it to coming down.
I like the same sort of thing on the M62 just before J22 (sowerby bridge) where you have the extra lane, great fun.

Depends on what time it is. During the day lanes 1 2 & 3 are full of HGV's and at night the 'middle lane owner muppets' change into 'lane 3 muppets' for the duration of the hill doing 65/70.  >:(

Used to be a real PITA( before it was realigned and levelled out a bit ) if you got stuck behind a convoy of caravan towing cars going up the hill at 20 mph
