Picked up Range Rover this morning, all 4 rear flexi pipes replaced (inner & caliper) + link pipes all up to scratch now., cause of problem rear flexi pipes had disconnected itself from rear link line due to corrosion.👍Whilst the bits are new, might be would applying some anticorrsion treatment to the metal parts of new flexis, given the amount of salt we have thrown on the road. Save cleaning them up later to do
and tried cooking a cake in the air fryer (nice coconut cake, 3slices gone sorry diet!)I keep making Mrs TheBoy make cakes in the air fryer, and will keep doing so until it comes out perfect. And probably still keep doing so
Range Rover going into my indi today, got a brake fluid leak on rear offside, glad I noticed it before towing the tin tent.Know where the leak is from, ie, caliper, flex hose or rigid pipework?
I am private. I dread to think what service NHS dentists give!!Having walked 2 miles to the dentist to have a tooth out, I was told I needed a tooth specialist, and the dentists surgery didn't have any, so need to be referred. So I walked 2 miles home again.Just go private for that particular problem, Jaime. You don't have to stay with the private dentist, and I can't see one extraction being that expensive.
Its been going on since October, and I've lost count of the number of temporary fillings this tooth has had - including 3 on Friday alone - whilst they play ping pong with whoever the supposed tooth specialist is who keeps rejecting the referral.
How hard can it be?
Last time I went for a check up, the young lad said I needed to see the hygienist. What? You send schoolchildren to see the hygienist when they're not brushing their teeth properly, not 70 year old men. They are skint, and will do anything to get a few bob out of you. Annual checkups don't cut the mustard. I didn't make an appointment and, if he pushes me next time, I'll tell him to shove it. There is a private dentist just around the corner, and he doesn't insist on regular visits. Toothache=tooth out at my age.
And rightfully so too, fuc£ing bastards want 200.000 cows culled FFSThat'll get Greta all excited
Like many other gimmicks, I've actually got quite used to it, and would miss not having it now. Key stays in pocket all day.……………..
Only one is keyless entry, but both are keyless start, so presumably both vulnerable to relay attacks ………….
Although both of mine are keyless, I personally can’t see any benefit from them being keyless. I unlock the door, chuck the key fob in to the double cup holder and off I go. If I grab a drink en-route I then have to move the key somewhere else.
I can’t leave the key in my pocket as it doesn’t take much pressure to activate the powered tailgate from the key fob.
My earlier BMW’s had a slot in the dash, which was not only an immobiliser link but also somewhere to park the key.
Some things are just unnecessary.
And this is the problem. Police ain't interested any more. What do law abiding people do, allow anyone to take their possessions? Then we all grumble about how car and house insurance has skyrocketed.https://www.itv.com/news/calendar/2024-02-03/mum-left-traumatised-after-gang-in-balaclavas-break-into-homeWhen he asked what to do to prevent a repeat of the theft when he got his replacement he was advised by the Police to purchase a lead lined box to keep the fob in to prevent the thieves from intercepting the transmission between the car and fob.
FFS .
Exceedingly poor advice IMO. SWMBO's former boss had his three day old cayenne turbo nicked off his drive in a "posh" bit of Birmingham. he had done as suggested and secured the keyless entry fob. The thieves used an axe to gain entry to his home and threatened his family for the keys. As far as I'm concerned they can have the car off the drive, its insured for a reason.
What a chavWow! That's, erm....gayVery
