Fitting a Sat Nav System

(1/7) > >>

Jim:
Has anyone every fitted an omega fitted sat-nav system to an omega which hasn't, at the moment my TC traction control button is where the screen normal fit's. an idea's

TheBoy:
Either disconnect the TC switch, move switch to buttons above (you can get the small TC buttons, but rare).

But the Carin system is old. Much easier to use a portable nav system such as tomtom/navman/garmin etc

I agree. My car Elite has the Carin as factory fit, and although the system does work & gets you to where-ever, the newer systems are far easier to use and have a much clearer display. Sat-nav has come along somewhat in 7 years.

Elite Pete:
Jim if you do decide to fit the Carin system I have a small TC button you can have.

Hillper:
This is my solution:

Make one of these.

Attach a Tom Tom One.

Stick to dashboard screen.

So much easier than retro fitting a satnav.

Edit.  I usually stick it over the tacho, so I can still see all the warnings and indications.
After all, what use is a tacho in a non-manual 2.2, right?
