That tribute to Eddie Kidd was quite emotional.

Not watched it yet, I take it it's more of the same from last season?

Just watched , I thought it was excellent and the tribute to Eddie was well deserved such a shame how his career ended.

Yes.....sad to see Eddie Kidd like that, although he seemed quite chipper.

In his prime the girls were falling over themselves to get inseminated by Eddie. :y

....oh, and it's looks like Chris Harris is as fast as the pubescent school boy who drives for McLaren once he's done his homework. ;)

You mean Chris Harris, who had been driving the car for several days, was one second slower than a "pubescent school boy who drives for McLaren once he's done his homework" who had just that one lap in a car he'd never even seen before, never mind driven (alledgedly)? ::)

Nah....You can bet Nando had a go earlier on. Just as Nigel Mansell did when he was fastest around the TG track. Apparently he had been there all day playing around with different tyre pressures and lines through corners.

Racing drivers rarely 'just turn up' regardless of what they say.

Chris Harris is pretty good behind the wheel......for a shortarse. ::) ;)

Looks like his (Lando) daily driver is a Macca 570S. ::) ::) ::)

Part of his contract, it seems. :y

I've no doubt Harris is a quality driver. And it wouldn't surprise me if the F1 drivers had some practice, but they aren't going to get free run of Silverstone on GP weekend. A few laps perhaps.

The more interesting bit was the TG team were nearly a minute slower than the F1 team over a 7 minute something race. Given that Harris was not far off Lando, it means Paddy and Flintoff were miles off the pace of Vettel and Giovinazzi.

I doubt we'll see either of these clowns on the F1 grid. ::)

I doubt Freddie would even fit in the car. ;D

It is surprising just how small most F1 drivers are.

I try to avoid Top Gear and it's usually moronic presenters, but have to admit the tribute to Eddie was real lump in the throat time  :'(. Well done to Paddy McGuiness.

This is true.  In a previous life I had a job that took me to the peripheries of the F1 paddock from time to time and sponsors promo gigs, and I met Rubens Barrichello, Michael Schumacher and David Coulthard, short arses all of them!  The surprising one was David Coulthard as he looks like a lanky git on TV.  ;D

Rubens Barrichello is a really nice fella and would chat to anyone regardless of their job or status.  :y

You don't honestly take any of TG seriously do you ? It's like soap operas all make believe , enjoy it for what it is a bit of fun with "boys toys".

I think the old comedy saying is something like "It's not funny unless there is a hint of truth behind it". AFAIK "Hint" isn't an SI unit, so whether it means 1%, 5% or 10% is unclear.
