Won’t be long before someone says good Omegas will command high prices. Oops I just have!

When everyone is driving economical, ele tric cars that are speed governed, old luxurious gas guzzlers will be highly sought after. The only problem might be living long enough to see it happen. Our children will though.

sshh, don't tell anyone, I might be able to tuck another one away while they are still cheap...the good thing about today's future classics, is that you can actually enjoy a long road trip in them, as long as they are well looked after. I'm not sure how far I'd want to go in a 4 speed non-AC equipped plastic seated Mk1 Escort these days....

Washed & polished the RRS next job is to feed the leather would have done it today but run out of balm, ordered some off the bay.

What make do you use? I was told that anything with natural oils will work, and there are lot of claims by detailing companies about their products which make it a minefield.

Thanks for the advice. I think with alloy heads new head bolts are a must. I have reused old ones on my own cars with no issues that I'm aware of but it's a bit risky.

I believe if they are stretch bolts, which are usually torque + angle set, they should be replaced with new ones.

Thanks, we have a Tech1 with the appropriate (Lotus) cartridge, but I don't remember seeing any ABS diagnostic options on the menus, but will check next time I have one plugged in.

Omega General Help / MV6 Facelift bodykit

Please does anyone on here know whether the rear bumper on a facelift MV6 is the same as the one normally fitted to all Omega, or is it a special "Prodrive" moulding like the rear spoiler and front bumper?
I can't tell any difference, but haven't been able to put one next to another or see if there are any identifying logos/numbers on the inside.

Slightly off topic, but does any one know if Carlton ABS light can be similarly diagnosed to find out why the light is constantly illuminated (once a wheel has been turned after start up)?
On some other cars I've seen the light comes and goes as you are driving, but this one is on all the time.
