12.08....Starmer is talking about this as I type.

Full of fake outrage no doubt.  ::)  Just he sound of his voice pisses me off!  :-X

He is terminally dull.

I imagine his favourite colour is beige, and he only has sex in the missionary position with the lights out between 7.00PM and 7.04PM every second Tuesday. :)

The XJ is a handsome brute to my eyes....
Yes, but you're very special, and believe the Signum is a special car....

My Signum is a valuable classic.......but I'd be willing to do a straight swap for an XJ575. :)

Well, its improved its looks.

I wonder how badly stained the drivers seat was....
Not as bad as an old man's jag  ;D
I do have to concur - most of my motor is quite attractive looking....   ....but it's arse, WTF was that Scottish idiot Callum thinking?

The XJ is a handsome brute to my eyes.....only let down when fitted with a derv lump taken straight from a cement mixer or canal boat. :) ::) >:D

I was thinking more on these lines👍

Some great British actors in this film including a pre 007 Connery.  :y

Was it the 11 year old at the wheel ? He who was stopped driving towing a stolen tin tent!

Oh yeah....I saw that on the news.

Feral little Pikeys.

Ftfy.  :y

I did think that but 11 years seems quite old for pikey car theft. ;D

Surely an 8 year old with blocks on his shoes could have done the job. :)

Thanks Jim, I appreciate the OOF kindness.

She seems to be behaving herself again now and I'm hoping it was just some sort of 17 year old female 'hissy fit' that won't happen again.   :)

No worries, I hope that's how it stays. But if you change your mind (or the car changes it for you) the offers open.

Cheers, Jim. You are a gentleman unlike the scouse whippeteer. :y

Get a twig and give it a damn good thrashing, or take it for a full blooded hell drivers type gravel run🤣.

You deserve all you get if you own a Morris 1100. ;)

Opti, I've got an iCarsoft here with Vx files on it, that will read the gearbox codes. Happy to loan it out for a week if you would find it useful.

PM me if you'd like it.  :y

I would just leave it if it's working ok. Then the collective that is OOF can collectively piss ourselves when you get stuck in second miles from home and chant "Told you to get it done, tight arse"  ;D

It could get stuck in first which would be even worse... :D ;D

10ltrs of ATF should be about £70 depending on your choice and 1 hour at you local £60 per hour man and you get change for a pint and a pie out of £150 and the knowledge that you have done the gearbox a good turn.

Slightly more if you get the sump dropped and filter replaced .

A man of your wealth is just pocket change  ;D

For my amusement I thought I'd contact my local Vauxhall dealer.

So....7 litres of ATF at £15 per litre plus the VAT comes to £126.

Add 2 hours of labour at £135 P/H plus VAT  comes to £324.

Total....£450. ;D ;D ;D

Hooked up the Maxiscan 509, which was kindly given to me by an OOF member.

No codes  either stored or pending.
Can that do gearbox, as its just a OBDII scanner...

Absolutely no idea.

All I know is there are no new/old or pending codes. :)
