I was in my garage, due to needing to check the tread depth on the BBP, and also to reset the service indicator.

I got as far as booting the PC, but was overcome with CBA rain stopped play.
Service interval rest yesterday.  Missing electricity follow said process being returned to it as we speak.

Rear tyres are a touch under 4mm across the width of both.

As you know, they recommend connecting the charger when you do this to maintain voltage stability, but we think it won't take long so we'll risk it.  ;D  Had to plug mine in to VCDS the other day, as I carelessly leaned on the start button with the MMI disconnected, throwing airbag codes.  ::)  The Nav aerial needed replacing so I leaned across the centre console to unplug the harness and heard the booting up noise. When I'd sorted the aerial I had to run a scan and delete the fault code to turn the airbag light off.

Keith I know that Tescos Maldon had fuel a few days ago. No-one in Witham did.
Yesterday I went to Sainsburys Tollgate, drove straight in without queuing and filled up, so if nothing doing in your neck of the woods.....

Well seeing as you've just quadrupled the value of the thing with a full tank of fuel, maybe now's the time to sell it!  :y

The boggeyed convertible Beetle does bear more than a passing resemblance to a squished frog...  :D

New thermostat on the Mondeo and now the temp gauge behaves normally.  :y

Strange thing though.... it's got much the same engine as the Jaguar XF and LR Freelander, so the same thermostat fits all three.  However the thermostat for the XF and Freelander was £6 cheaper than the Mondeo.  :-\  So I treated it to the Jag stat!  :)

Meanwhile it's developed a nice whooshing noise when accelerating and sure enough I found a hole in the turbo boost pipe, so one on order.  Only a tenner so not that bad.  :y

Is that the same lump as the Volvo D4 circa 2010 :-\

If so, how do you find it?

You pull the little lever in the passenger side footwell, then grope around under the bonnet lip for the catch and when you find and release it, lift the bonnet up and Ta Dah!   There it is!  :y                                       :D  ;D
