I'll be going down the 3.0 cams route when I come to change the cambelt on my 2.5 next week. I have the 4 x G cams, 3.0 lower divider and a 3.0 bottom pulley to help spin the engine up a little quicker. In future I will also be installing a flywheel off a C20XE as it's a lot lighter than the OEM flywheel which is very heavy compared to the C20XE... also will be installed is a cold air feed and Courtney Sport air filter should see close to 200BHP with the change of cams and lower divider. I will also be looking at a remap later on in the year to release a few more ponies...

Thanks for the answers folks, looks like I'll be either fitting bigger tyres and using spacers or selling the wheels on

I'll try them on the Omega when I get it Saturday and go from there...

The wheels that are in question are 18" BK299, I was hoping they would fit the Omega without problems.....

They're currently on my Vectra so ET49....? and running 215/35/18 tyres at the moment... I think they are 8J...? not 100% though...

I have both the Torque Pro app and also "My Naff Code Reader" which will both extinguish the airbag warning light...

"My Naff Code Reader" is only used on a LapTop and as already said the Torque app is only available for the Android smartphones, there is however an app avalable for iPhones and works through a wireless dongle not bluetooth as the Torque app uses...

If you was within a couple of miles of me in Wigan, Id be happy to plug you in and clear the codes for you

Thanks Big Al, I think they are on the drivers door - so its a 'proper' facelift then... happy days :lol:

Iv actually not seen the car yet, just pictures and reputation of the owner - I know it'll be a good motor.
The only 'niggle' it has is 1 of the rocker/cam covers is leaking oil but coming from Vectra's I believe it to be quite a common problem on the X25XE engines....

I do have a couple of questions TBH like how to remove the rear suspension self levelling system...? is it just a case of removing the shockers and the levelling sensor...? I intend to lower the car about 40mm all round so obviously need to remove the self levelling system...

Also are there roof bars available for the Omega, as I have genuine GM roofbars for the Vectra and they just clip into the roof and hold very securely or do I have to go to Halfrauds and buy their 'Paddy Hopkirk' shite...?

AND.... how do I become a paid member...? assuming that gets rid of the verification code thing I have to do everytime I post something on the site....?

Hello there, the names Matt and in January I'll be buying an Omega Elite 2.5 V6 from a mate of mine.

Iv got at the moment a Vectra GSi replica which is coming up to 18 years old in January as it was first registered in January 1996 and TBH is past its best - unfortunately... Iv owned it for the past 4 years and kept it on the road for very little, it's been a good car but it's time to move on and my 3 boys aint getting any smaller LOL

So iv had my eye on an Omega for a while and the Elite of my mates has come up for sale and Iv basically snatched his hand off for it and will be collecting it the 2nd week of January and TBH Im looking forward to the new purchase... its on a V plate and I think its a Minifacelift...? but not 100%. It has the full din dashboard but only has the 2.5 engine not the 2.6 so thats what has led me to believe it to be a minifacleift..

Anyhoo, Im from Wigan and frequent a couple of Vauxhall forums - mainly VVOC at the moment but am also a member of VxDC ClubVaux and MigWeb along with others that I don't frequent quite as much..
