Genuine VX 12V 35W XENON D2S Bulbs
« on: 09 December 2015, 17:27:22 »

Is £40 (total) a good price for a pair of Genuine Omega HID bulbs ?

Their new / old stock.

GM Part Number - 93169041

Apparently they are normally £109

Is this the correct type for the facelift Omega?

Bit late to be asking ::) fortunately they are correct...

Not a bad price, but paid £32 for a pair or Osram Xenarc D2S 35W bulbs last year...

Was going to ask first but did something similar some time ago before I could hit 'buy it now' someone on here snapped it up  ;D

Good to know, just thought they'd come in handy as a spare set  :y

I know they rarely die but since messing about with the headlights on mine after various errors the colour tint isn't the same, when the weather gets warmer i'll replace them both which should last the life of the car then easily :y

You might be surprised as they dim and discolour over time slowly such that you don't notice until you fit new ones and go wow!

I'm sure there will be a noticeable difference  :y

Well if this weather would just calm down I may get a chance to fit them sooner, hopefully.

That's the price you pay for buying summat like that second hand... you're entirely at the mercy of the tight fisted tw lovely person who ordered it ::) At least with Vauxhalls and Fords, the range is pretty clear cut, so if it says Life or S on the badge you know it's unlikely to have electric windows or aircon and equally if it says SE or Elite, then there won't be much to add/missing...

I just never even thought to check for HIDs ....  just assumed it would have them. I'll not get caught out like that again. The last of the line ie facelifted cars had them as standard.

By facelift, I take it you mean the last four UK cars ordered... :D

If I still had my FL I'd be well chuffed with that price. There's a couple of spare ones 'found' in scrap cars in my dad's garage, but as said above, they do fade a bit over time, so for that brand new 'bling' £40 sounds a cracking deal.

paid £3.75 for a pair of non genuine chinese ones a while back on ebay eg search for  370916269154

choice of temps, 4.3K, 6K, 8K, i went for 6K d2s for a change, whiter than OE but not blue.

haven't tried them they are just spares for trip abroad, at £3.75 i'm not worried how long they last.
