We could round them up mid channel, microchip/vaccinate them and surreptitiously drop them back to France.

OK.....so the barracks are not as comfortable as the Ritz.

Presumably though the accommodation is free of charge as well as being  warm and dry

The word 'ungrateful' comes to mind.

It could be suggested that we were invited in to collect them rather than waiting for them to drown.

Certainly we asked for, and were granted, permission to enter France.

Flip side is that the French could just have easily picked them up, but it could reasonably be argued that thimmigrants weren't in immediate danger, and therefore were free to carry on.

Which begs three questions...

1. Why the French insist on doing nothing to deter these transitory migrations?
2. Why, if thimmigrants aren't immediately in danger, did we pick them up?
3. If they were in immediate danger, did the French not pick them up?

If I had genuinely escaped torture and death and made it to the shores of 'Blighty' I would not be complaining that the accommodation was piss poor.

We have people sleeping on the streets, a significant number of which are ex-army, very little is done to help such people. >:(

I'm surprised that there aren't vigilantes going out in boats looking for the rubber dinghies to offer them a tow and assistance.....

Straight back to France!  ;D

I'm surprised that there aren't vigilantes going out in boats with big, sharp knives looking for the rubber dinghies to sink them

I should imagine that the Frogs can't  wait to get rid of them, hanging around for months in the woods near a channel port.

There's stories every day about this invasion, the Lawyers that helped with this claim are known to assist in beating the system, Then there's the Invaders that are wearing £500 trainers, i-,phone12 etc.  O and inspector Clouseau can't even find were they keep buying 20ft ribs and 30+ life jackets from, can't see them being towed to the beach, loaded up, and then launched.

The French have big legal and illegal immigration problems of their own. Why would they do much to stop those who are just passing through, especially since we cut ourselves off from EU cooperation

I'd say that they have duty to fight organised crime, but that's just me I guess.  ::)

Why would they need asylum in Britain from France. First place of safety they get to should give it to them.

Because they agreed to do so if we paid the millions of pounds per year that they said it would cost them. We are paying them the £millions, but as you would expect of the Frogs, they are doing far call to uphold their end of the bargain.

Exactly, all the "liberal" lefty, do gooders whose hearts bleed for these poor souls conveniently forget they are coming here from France.
Dont get me wrong, I wouldnt set foot in that shithole, but I cant imagine its so bad, that recent arrivals from countries where they are claimed to be in grave danger, immediately want to risk their lives to get out of France and sail across to England just for the sake of their own safety.  ::)
