Going to look at and, hopefully, buy one of these for wife's tomorrow. It's diesel and auto of course. Griffin edition, so has nice seats and wheels for her to destroy.  ;D

Mate has had one for a few months now. It replaced the Insignia's he always had due to his wife's mobility issues. He loves it. Don't know what spec it is though, but it is a proper fuelled car.  ;D

Is that the 5008, but in Vx drag?

Mate has a 5008 PHEV (thats a waste of time, as it does 29 miles when new, and 4.8 miles in the winter, and petrol is cheaper than leccy). He likes it, but it makes the cockpit of Opti's car look almost desirable...

Also, in his, the 1.5l petrol lacks the power to lug the car and the batteries around.

If yours is diesel, I think it would mostly dispense with the pointless leccy junk though?

OK.

What year?
What colour?
Which engine size?
How much?

If it is 'big' will it be a problem for a woman to drive with their lack of spatial awareness? :)

Been and done the deed, long day.

For Opti:
2021
Silver  ;D
1.5 TD Auto
£21,800

Nosey bastid. ;D

I traded my Astra estate against it, only got £2000, but that what it was worth.

I now drive a 66 plate Astra K Tech Line, 1.6 Cdti auto, saloon. That will be snug for doggie and me.

Is your long suffering wife pleased with it?

A week from now she'll say she doesn't like the colour and you'll trade it in for a £10,000 loss. >:D

These are usually a good buy. :y

Before you mentioned the mileage I was concerned it had covered 140,000 miles and was used by an Asian gentleman as a minicab. ::)

Intelligent climate control. Sounds good. Front left and right and rear passengers?

Being the Grandland X Griffin edition I imagine it comes with all the bells and whistles.

Many will never be used, or even found, if the menu after menu after menu scenario in my car is anything to go by.

No idea. Hot or cold does me  ;D

How the fluck can you get different temperatures in a seven foot by five foot box? My Astra had individual temperature controls for front seat driver and passenger, if one was set warmer than the other, that was the temperature you both got.

I like the old pre-war cars. You simply tilt the windscreen a couple of inches and a nice flow of fresh air enters. :)

Marketing wank. It's no more intelligent the the split systems in the front. That we're fitted by Mercedes in pretty much every model since the early seventies with independent temperature controls for both front seats.

By adding it to the rear, you lose much of the centre console storage and add a shit ton of complication by electrifying the controls. Doubled if it's four zone.

Shouldn't do, as any lost console space will just be air ducts, that have to be there anyway.  Although Mercedes are a different kettle of fish since they got shot of car designers in the 1980s...

Seemed to work well enough in the Omegas, *IF* the A/C worked (the Omega didn't work well without A/C, and just made a shit load of fan noise.,.

Seems to work well enough in her car (dual zone) and mine (quad zone) as well....    ....and I tend to like it quite cool, and she likes her area like Chernobyl.
