Ad blue

It appears to me that this stuff can be an expensive additional cost. At £3 a litre for about 600 miles and the faff of putting/getting it put in, I think it's a fickin nuisance.

Haha. Now my question is - what happens when you don't fill up with magic adblue? does the car 'know' it's empty, does it stop? Is there a sensor to light up the dash to say you need it filling up again? Also I love the 'the harder you drive, the quicker it runs out' thing - so the way to stop your DPF from clogging is to rag it a bit, but in order to save this magic fairy water from running out too soon you need to drive 'economically'

Nope I'm going to go in the old fart camp on this one  ;D

Now if there's a bottle of some adblue-like substance I can chuck in (like cataclean), to help emissions for MoT, that's cool.

If it runs out, you cannot start the car! Warns you long before though, but glad my VW does not have it...

Can't see what would stop you just pulling over and taking a slash into the tank, mind. ;D

Yeah. The warning light will only be based on level in the tank...not the contents.  ;D

If you're that much of a tight ar$e, it can be had on Amazon for £13 for 10L with free delivery.

At that price I'd rate the cost as pretty negligible. £1.30 for 600miles I can live with. Hell, if I lost some of my relaxed muscle I reckon I could save more than that in fuel?  ;D
