Hi. I assume it must be for an auto as well as the correct ecu number ?
-
I've got a couple but can't remember which came from which car I broke, do you have the part numbers off your ?
-
Yes its 0 273 004 206 and is for a 2.5 automatic. Thanks.
-
Ive been offered one that has the correct part number.DX on the pump ,which i wont be using anyway and last numbers 206 on ecu. Trouble is its from a manual car. WHAT will actually happen if i put this on. Ive heard abs will be fine but tc wont ? Has anyone tried this? .also i may have a chance of one from a 3.0 auto. Same number and same pump DX.same age.or can a 206 unit be re proggrammed correct ? . Many thanks.

If the numbers match, it should be fine. Any behavioural issues will able to be addressed with a quick tech 2 session.
I suspect that the auto/manual difference will be in the loom rather than with the ecu ;)

Ok thanks for that. The guy in the yard says the abs & tc lights were on so it is probably faulty anyway but i intended to send one to bba anyway because of the imminent failure design built in !

You might get lucky, a duff sensor should put the lights on...

I will check continuity of the sensors on mine too just to be sure. At the abs plug.

Of course, you have more chances of pulling your foreskin up over your head to keep your ears warm. We know it will be a shagged ECU. But I admire a bit of optimism ;D

no. my ears are too big !

Sorted now thanks.found a rebuilt one from a breakers. Many thanks
