head light from any year fit, but i would check the connector cluster they are the round pins they can shrink and be a loose fit on the connectors, this would cause light flicker. use a flat head screw driver and spread the conecto back so has a tight fit again.

make sure you not buying cheap bulbs, and no fingerprints on the crystal glass, also check the bulb reflector make sure its secure as the adjuster can crack and wobble about in the housing. :)

I'm having the car for a few days due to windscreen on omega so will give it a good look over and see if it can be sorted, was driving it to day and when looked down getting in after been parked up and there was a screw on the floor near the break peddle. looks like a mettle type screw with a washer fitted cross head about 25mm long, has this fell out of somewhere under the dash, any ideas were it might be fitted ? know it was not there before as would of seen it and felt it when driving.

well went out to omega and was checking oil water etc and put the bonnet down and noticed something strange on the window, that was not there yesterday, so had a closer look and there is a crack from the corner on drivers side just up to the square patterns in the screen, no impact mark from a stone etc so something must of flown  into window as we had 60-70 mph winds around here, so rang around for a new window and all wanting above £200 for glass + rim. (standard) so had to make the call, the one to insurance so at least i'm only out £75 and replacing window on saturday. what a time to be having to pay out for a windscreen. just hope its not snowing when it gets fitted :(

i had a look at the rings they look intact, but pass side was different shape to the rest, pass side was rounded cog shape and other 3 are point type. could not see if something had warn it down is it supposed to look like that. they are well rusted up but was unable to do anything today as it was cold and wet. so going to give them a clean up with a wire brush sometime this week. found a small air leak in the main vacuum line so replaced that, pedal now feels like it should but still the same with the breaks. pin hole in the plastic pipe on the seam were its made so put a rubber type on.

thanks will have a look tomorrow. was going to check the vacume line as well as it feels strange on the pedal, don't feel like there is anything there until its pumped 3 times, but the level is just below max. and pads have a lot of meat on them. discs look ok bit of rim rust fronts. have noticed the abs light stays on longer than migs when you start engine or just turn ignition on stays on for around 2-3 seconds longer ? but will have a look at the rings in morning when i go round again.  he only drives it at 40mph max i think. but only drive around town never drives far.

hi was driving this the other day and the abs came on at a slow steady stop witch was not good as made stopping worse as no real pressure on the braking. has anyone come accross this before as no codes, has done it a few time now but breaking is working as normal when it dont do this. thanks if can help, an old man drives it normally and his reactions are not that good if it dont work as it should.

Well, tried the same on mine today as I have been suffering the same randomly for the past few months and it has not opened yet.

Had to put 2 on the left side and 4 on the right as mine appears quite worn.

It is almost like there should be some thin rubber ends from the factory.
:y I think it would of been better with rubber ends from factory.

The last few days it's been opening up whenever I drive over a bump ar road that vibrates, So this morning decided to have a look at it as it's annoying and my knee really is not enjoying the impact. So anyway, there is 2 plastic pins that stick out on each side for the lock ( grey outside ) and the black locking part has a round ish cut out, could see how its supposed to work but think the pins are worn down, aso was wondering how to fix it. any way had an idea and it seems to have worked, Heat shrink tubes found one that's the right size to go over the pins and cut it off at the pins end after fitting it on and heating it up to shrink it to the pin. but had to do it twice on left side when testing it as it must of been more worn down on that side. now it all seems to be working, gave the but of a bang ( with ignition off ) and its not dropping down now but you can still open it the same way as normal.  would they of had rubber caps on them before ?  As think it would of been a better idea if they did. all seam to work fine now, been for a drive on a bumpy road and its not once come open again  :)
