Agreed.
Though my ML does have DRLs, the AUTO light does work quite well & it's not often I have to override it. It also kinda helps in that the lights are linked with the wipers .... it's not uncommon for lights to auto switch ON when the auto wipers have done a good few wipes (turning the wipers OFF will also turn the auto lights OFF too) Also there is no OFF position on the light switch.

My Astra switches the lights on after eight sweeps of the auto wipers. I also have auto lights, but they can be overridden with an off switch.
You'd think Mercedes would keep up 

They probably use the same sensor, if not control module

Indeed , very annoying when you pull up at an island expecting the car entering the island from the right to go strait on (because they are NOT indicating LEFT to leave the island) ,but instead they exit left 

selfish ****s have slowed all the traffic , because they are too lazy to flick the indicator stalk 

also ****s who just change lane without looking or indicating 

the standard of driving by some is shocking  and disgraceful

I had a scary encounter today. Came round a corner to be faced with a car veering ever more onto my side at speed. Armco both sides, so no where to go. 11.45 so probably not drunk. They were arguing. The passenger grabbed the wheel.

Travelling to Birmingham airport early on New Year's Day. The roads were really quiet and most cars I saw were in the middle lane. I had the cruise set to 75 and there was no way I was going to pull out to lane 3 to overtake them. So I just cruised up the inside of them, some quite quickly and others, who were probably doing 73, really slowly.
Did any of them move to the inside lane after I'd passed? No.

Where I suspect most of my cards that I sent out will be going, as a cousin texted me today to say thanks for the card, it arrived today.
