Indeed, since 2007, 59 of the 66 posts containing 'Rats Omega' are about this very car. The last time it was mentioned was 2014 :D
The build thread for it makes for some interesting reading 8)

I have to admit it its one of the kind!!! but the money spend for parts...... dodge viper gearbox?!?! or the other hand nissan almera steering rack :P heh :D
Anyway that engine has lots of potential and its easier to fit in to omega than 2jz for example ^^
p.s it is one of my dreams to build omega with 2jz and giant turbo :P

Would be nice to have a little more go in my car as its only a 2.6 so it struggles to get past most poxy hatchbacks at the best of times.

Just a T56, really, so you can pick them up (brand new in Magnum trim) for ~£2500 these days; second hand you can pick up a T56 (used in many, many cars) for ~£800 or so in GM fitment. The steering rack probably cost almost as much ;D
