Omega General Help / Re: Radiator Questions
« on: 08 September 2013, 15:16:08 »
Cheers Tunnie mate,

So are you saying ANY petrol Rad is interchangeable for a manual?

I can get my hands on a Rad from a 2.0 engine, is it  going to fit a 2.5?

I need to replace mine, I have a 2.5 Manual Facelift Omega, is the Manual and Auto Rad different?

And how interchangeable are the Rads from other Omegas?

Any advice appreciated.

Can anyone recommend a Video Editing Programme that allows me to tilt a video 45%.

My son has sent me a short family video but it is on it's side and for the life of me I cannot tilt it up straight!

Any suggestions?

I worked as a professinal PanelBeater/Sprayer back in the  70's and 80's, don't ever remember much trouble matching black, I remember the original metallic colours Blue Mink and Silver Fox which was used on Mk2 Cortinas and Zodiacs, the problem we had with these was that Ford had so many varieties of shade, which got much worse as the years rolled on and they brought out new Metallic colours like Oyster Gold ect.

Getting the right match was an art form, you become very skilfull with subtle changes of colour.

Not sure how it is all done these days, but spraying a black car was always the most difficult because every imperfection showed up, so preperation had to be perfect.

General Car Chat / Smoking Diesel engine
« on: 22 March 2013, 21:50:20 »
I 've had a Renault Kangoo 1.5 turbo diesel van  for the last 6 months, it's covered 103000 miles,  my first ever diesel engine, so I'm still learning .

lately I've noticed black smoke belching out of the exhaust, especially if I put my foot down in third gear.

What is the problem causing this? Is  it maybe the engine or the turbo on it's way out? Any suggestions would be welcome.

I've seen some Treatment additive made by Wynns for such a problem, could such an additive have any effect?

General Discussion Area / Wedding Ideas?
« on: 20 January 2013, 15:58:42 »
My No2 son is due to marry in April, when No1 son married a couple of years ago, he had this fantastic idea of getting a photo of all the invited guests when they were children, he placed the pictures in their place setting at the tables,  it took a lot of work, but he pulled it off, finding a lot of contacts through Facebook ,many people who we had never met sent photos of their sons, daughters, brothers and sisters, some of the guests had never even seen the photos until that day , it really gave the wedding a great start and relaxed everyone.

No2 is scratching his head for a similar kind of fun thing to do!

Any ideas from weddings you have attended?

But you have to admit, it was great entertainment for us Villa fans, you lot were 2-0 up at half time giving it the really big un towards your most hated rivals (???) and then we got that third goal!!

It was priceless seeing such sad emotion amongst such a lot of gobby visitors that day!

To  the Pov City fan, when you got relegated at Villa Park  (what a great  choice!)

Do you remember this guy on Mach Of The Day? We all thought he meant The Premiership, now we know he meant Non League football!
