Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Anyone used a Navigon Satnav?
« on: 09 February 2010, 19:02:17 »
I've got a 5 year old Navman (that cost a fortune) that's never been up-dated. On the few occasions I use it it's been great, and the only 'new' roads I've noticed were around new housing estates; not exactly any fear of getting lost ;D ;D
Now, if they start to build new motorways I might be in trouble :( ;) ;)

I went over a speed bump a little to fast today and now when I reverse the parking sensor warning sound is on constantly; can someone please tell me where I should kick the car to fix it! :)

It appears that no one has taken this seriously, which is my own fault :P However, I would appreciate any advice that might help me correct this?

Thanks :)

That's a good looking HU - Kenwood what, exactly?
It would look good in my Carton, so no worries about steering wheel suitability!

Kenwood DPX303 I think ?

Googled it and yes it is - cheers Dave!
Only £150 ish new aswell - result! :y

It's £210 with full bluetooth enabled, not a bad price, you can also change the light colours to red, green or blue.
Thanks for everyones help! :y

I'm considering replacing my CCR2006 which has the cdc safe fault with a nice double din stereo like the one below. Does anyone know of a replacement brand that can be conected to the steering wheel volume and other stereo controls? I'd hate to lose the steering remote controls...thanks.

to save fuel I crack the sunroof tilt and turn the heater fan on medium with heat set at about 18 degrees (instead of running the air con and heat) to defrost the windows. Works well unless it's raining when I have to take the hit on fuel economy :(

Great news! All the good things I heard about you were obviously all true :y

Can anyone advise on the r&r of a CCR2006? I really don't want to destroy the unit before Dave DND can repair it? :-?

can anyone tell me what the difference is between cd safe and cdc safe on a crt700 radio

CD SAFE  =  Code needs to be entered on CDC2 or CDC3 Changer

CDC SAFE = Software Failure of CDC3 Changer

 :y

Do OOF members get a discount on the £40 + £10 P&P cost of a CDC SAFE repair??? ;) ;) :y

« on: 06 December 2009, 16:28:41 »
Today the dash light for the right side of my speedo and fuel gauge has gone out (2000 2.5 cdx SEDAN). Is this a fuse problem or a bulb problem, how do you change the dash bulb?? Thanks for the help

Got no code then?

Mick

I have the radio code but apparently this unit does not have a seperate cd code; radio and cassette work fine.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / CDC SAFE
« on: 26 October 2009, 19:19:47 »
I just purchased a 2000 X reg CDX with the 2006 stereo/4 disk changer. Stereo has CDC SAFE fault message. Where can I get this reprogrammed and how much will it cost? Is it possible to get it done without having to remove myself and post? Can the Vauxhall dealer fix this for me? Very annoying as seller failed to mention this and I failed to test! :(

Omega General Help / Re: tyres

I've just fitted a set of toyo proxys and they grip very well, dry or wet. They also look very nice and the noise is not noticably different than the Pirellis I had before. They cost me £500 fitted, balanced and with the tracking sorted.

If it was spotted when cam belt was replaced then sound to me like the oil cooler plate seal has a small leak?

Should that be fixable with a bit of stop leak, or is it VIP to strip down and repair ASAP? The coolant is not leaking quickly....
