This estate consists of various parts, all 'open' areas being under the control of a Management Committee. All properties have their boundaries, and anyone wishing to extend onto these areas, apart from planning permission, have to get permission from the Management Committee. Indeed, in the past, some residents have encroached with fences, and have had to remove them. Also, in this road, years ago, one family received planning permission for a kitchen extension, ordered bricks, which were stacked on the front lawn, only to be told permission for the extension was denied by the Management Committee, due to it coming forward onto 'open' areas.
Don't know what covenants you have signed (if any), but imo, worth checking, just in case someone objects
