Title: Accidental battery drain
Post by: ronnyd on 09 June 2013, 09:33:03
Hi all, left interior light on last week, got started ok (jumped it). Ran well over Fri & Sat, 200mls +.
Now battery is draining again also ticking over fast 1500rpm & EML is now on. Could dodgy battery
be causing all this or have i got bigger issues?
I have no test gear or expertise but a few words of advice would be gratefully accepted .
Thanks in anticipation.

as you got eml light on do paper clip test-might not be connected to battery issue-could be something  has given up -aat same time- here's how---- http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90581.0

Had battery, alternator & a check for a discharge done, still prob persisted, but at least EML disappeared.
In the end shoved a new battery on, problem solved.  :y

thanks for update, draining can be very bad for a battery.  I am nursing one at the moment that got down to 9V due to someone leaving a Honda's headlights on.  Left on gentle charge for a week. Hopefully that will recover it but multiple disharges really kills starter type batteries.
