It will save some fuel due to the drag on the engine turning the fan all the while.
8.5% seems a huge ammount to save though. :-/

Karen Carpenter is definitely at the top, as for Amy Winehouse I'm afraid she leaves me cold.... Not my cup of te at all.
I must say Duffy's record grows on you the more times you hear it.

I would recommend not wasting money on tracking or '4 wheel alignments' but to get the entire geometry sorted :y

yes thats what i ment at wim or simaler :y

Would it be right to assume the £100 is for the geometry check?
Would that be about the right price?

I need my tracking doing, but when I went to my usual tyre firm, they checked their book and said they could not do it because the car needed to be weighted.
They sent me to another company who quoted about £100 and said it would take about 1 1/2 hours.
I notice Richierich had his done for £24ish.
Am I being conned or is their a problem with tracking Omega's?

Had tracking done yesterday, seems to be lot better now than was before, no pulling to the sides now, they said it was out quite a bit, took ages to do and charged me 24 quids  :) :)

Finally got time to do breather system today. cant believe the naffe that came out  black box when i took it off plenum. the 2 small tubes were solid hard gunge. took ages to clean. changed rocker cover gaskets and all new gaskets,  vauxhalls charged me £124 the lot. thieving robbing barstewards. i took me time reading the threads and found it so easy following the steps on here than i would of going by haynes.so far no oil anywhere, shall keep me eyes open in next few days and see how it goes.

10 out of 10 for guidance gents    :y :y

And to top it all i got speeding ticket through today.

At £24 it would be worth a trip to Heathrow!
