Because i'm not! reason i ask is my Dad apart from his Omega also has a pug 106 diesel (1996 1.5) has a slight mis fire  and smokes on idle,rev it,smoke goes as does mis fire,anyone any ideas?....thanks , Wayne

anything been done that could have knocked the timing a couple of teeth out recently?

Only when engine cold?

What colour is the smoke?

And check the seals etc as they are known to be troublesome on pugs.

Hi & thanks for replies,Kieth smoke is white/greyish and seems to improve a little once warm,Mark,which seals would that be,sorry i'm a diesel novice!,just to go a little off topic,did you receive my PM,or should i say cry for help!...Wayne

Nobody has mentioned it, but it may be an injector dribbling rather than spraying.
