Natanz nuclear site
« on: 12 April 2021, 17:19:39 »

Over to the Iranians.

I thought it was some kind of Israeli action.

It will be interesting to see how Biden pans out in the next few weeks on this.

The Iranians have a number of serious enemies so anything is possible in this act of sabotage, if that is what it is!

This could be an internal act as well as an external one. Israel certainly could well be at the front of the queue in taking this kind of action.

Just wish our military had not been rated "not fit for purpose"!  We need them to be fully capable in all respects now, especially with our / USA nuclear response capability. ;)

If there's any sign that the Iranians are getting close to achieving a nuclear capability, Israel will stop all of these covert operations......and resort to air/missile strikes. Iran has promised to wipe Israel from the face of the earth, what would you do under those circumstances?
Israel would, obviously, seek approval and, possibly, military backing from the USA. But they would go ahead with or without that.

Indeed, the Israelis have done that before, but against Iraq,  let alone working with the British against Egypt in 1956 ;)

The Israelis are just itching for a good fight, and yes against Iran you cannot blame them! ;D ;D :y

This Israeli hostility against Iran goes back years. ;)

The Chinese and Russians are quite steadily building a Socialist axis and Iran is another piece to their jigsaw.

Biden will have to act, ( the US military are with or without his leadership), whether he likes it or not. Certainly Australia and Japan are currently in the firing line, and they won't suffer US presidential inaction for long. Nor will the Americans in general.

Don’t forget Ukraine and Russia nearer to home. Clever ploy by Putin handing out Russian passports  to Ukranians. Europe ( and the world) will find it hard to argue with the concept of Russian troops defending Russian citizens as the occupy yet more of Eastern Europe.

We are back in uncertain times. It would be interesting to have Rods2 input on the subject(s).

The US Secretary of Defence flew into Israel on E-4B (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_E-4) 73-1677, callsign Titan25, overnight on Saturday 10th April, arriving around 6am at Ben Gurion. This was a pre-announced visit, and was officially to discuss the Iran situation. Given that Sec Def was in country to discuss Iran whilst this was happening, I think it's unlikely the US didn't know what was going on.

Sec Def has since flown out to Berlin, and I believe is due into Paris, Brussels and London in the next few days to introduce himself to the European/NATO leaders, and discuss the Iran situation. It's uncertain whether he'll arrive at Stansted or Heathrow, but since I've seen 73-1677 several times before I'm not too bothered  ;D

It is strange that at least the mainstream TV news channels have not mentioned a thing about this incident :o :o

Is that due to censorship of some kind, or something else more sinister? ::) ::)

Maybe nothing in it, but................ ;)

Mention of the incident is though on the BBC World News online page :)

Perhaps someone or some thing wants to keep it low key.
