Any ideas? Screen washer problem.
« on: 08 February 2013, 12:57:52 »

Hi guys,
Got a bit of a strange problem with my Terracan screen washers , after about 10 or 12 uses the spray from the washer jets barley reaches the screen, jets are completely clear, if I take the tube off the T piece under the bonnet & blow through the pipe towards the washer bottle it is all fine again, but after 10/12 uses spray weakens again any ideas ?

Sounds like you have some debris in the wash tank that is being drawn onto the little filter on the pump when used, probaly pay to drain the tank and remove the pump and clean the little gauze filter :y

Thanks, will take a look, the actual bottle is hidden in the o/s front wing with just the filler neck protruding, my guess is that I may need to remove the wheel arch liner to locate the container!! Will probably wait for warmer days.

I had similar on a car, a hosepipe in the filler and turned on will flush the bottle.

Thanks Scimmy Man, that sounds the best option to try first, rather than dismantling anything ,will let washer bottle run low & give it a good blast through.
