Thermostat Tube
« on: 02 November 2009, 12:47:35 »

I am looking for a replacment thermostat housing/tube.

I went to change my stat on saturday however I could not get the steel pipe to disengage from the thermostat housing. I decided to give it a gentle pry with a long bar to hopefully crack the seal/joint, however it cracked the mounting section clean off instead  :-/

Therfore I need to replace this as I still need to remove it to change the stat and Im guessing over time it will vibrate loose as its not secure.

Does anyone have one????

If it's the same as the 2.6 one, yeah - assuming you are talking about the long metal pipe, thermostat to the outside of the RH head?
