hi all

just had call from garage saying car was ready . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . BUT there was excessive noise from tappets. they said car had no oil in <which i doubt as cars mid would of said!!!!>. once they put oil in the noise has quietend. but still there under rev's. what are chances of noise going once oil has chance to circulate properly. or will i need to get tappets repaced???

any help will be appreicated cheers steve

I take it some work has been done then... can you say specifically what?

Make sure the oil filter is new, and 10/40 semi synth is in there full to the max

May take up to 15 mins to shut up....

car has helicoil done new cam gasket and new plugs! will change oil filter. oil is 10/40 semi synth garage filled it!
