No.

The 2015 and 2013 are identical in their functionality, except the 2015 has the abililty to be connected to the Telematics phone system.  This is a separate box that lives in the glovebox.

The fascia's of the 2 units are very slighty different, but the 2015 will function quite happily with or without the telematics.

Very true, but much more useful than the cr*p that most people fill their gloveboxes with!  :D

Again, very true. Seen some modifications to mount it in the boot compartment, makes more sense there, as it basically renders the glove box useless.

Would not mind a 2015 for myself + telematics, but they go for silly money!

Thats way to do it, but with 4 Omegas on the drive, one Nissan and a BMW bike, I think my parents would start to complain if we got a 5th Omega ;D

Hmmm, not entirely correct info here.

The *ONLY* difference between 2013 and 2015 is the legends on some of the buttons and the sticker on the top.

One other difference

Have you noticed how the software handles TP broadcasts differently when a Telematics is connected TB?  ;) Obviously if you depair and remove the Telematics I guess the software reverts back.

So are you saying that a 2013 will work with a telematics unit connected to it TB?

yes james,  my understanding form conversations along these lines some time back, is that when given the appropriate talking to by TB.....    essentially the only difference is the graphic icon on the "home" button pair, and it's function when a telematics is installed.....

it's been on my shopping list for the day after i win the lottery , ever since i got the Mv6...    it's one of the many things i REALLY miss about both my previous Elites....

seen a few veccie NCDC2013/5 units on fleabay with the phone unit,  and have been wondering if it was worth getting one ....   as a set,  in case TB can work magic on them to stick em in a Mig.    swapping the faceplate obviously.....       and working some wiring magic to put the unit somewhere more sensible....

i believe more units come up in germany than here though....

No, I haven't.  Usually disable TP, as I don't want BBC C&W interrupting my Radio 4 when I'm nowhere near Warks ;D

What does it do different?
