Remote battery holder

(1/2) > >>

danzigfan:
Hi guys, is there any chance to find a new plastic battery holder that fits?

TheBoy:
I've always repaired the old ones by getting some old style resistors, and cutting off the wire, and using this wire to extend the broken battery holder legs.  Then resolder to board.

A spot of glue to stick the holder to the board adds a bit of mechanical strength to it as well.

Never bothered to search for replacement holders, LOL.

danzigfan:
That's how I fixed this one and it was working fine till now, so I thought there had to be something else I could do. Well, I'll repeat the procedure then. Thanks

I recently sent an Omega 3 button and Zafira 2 button fobs to Martin Imber for new buttons and battery holder repair.
Excellent service  :)
if you have fat fingers like me and fine solder work is a PITA
