"Power Increase" after having battery disconnected
« on: 24 April 2009, 17:04:45 »

Is it possible that allways when I have had battery disconnected for a while the nature of the car is totally different. It accelerates better and shifts later etc. Does the ECU "learn" something about the way you drive or do I just imagine the whole thing ? any experience ? Engine is 2.6 (Automatic gear)

Battery disconnected will reset ECU to factory settings...

Pretty sure the ECU does indeed learn about how engine etc is running and adjusts accordinly as it sees fit...

Pretty certain the Motronic 3.x.x store the learn values in nvram, so disconnecting battery wont make a difference  :-/
