Chaps,
Now I know a lot's been said on here about radios but I was wondering.....
I have a 95' Elite with the standard fit radio and boot mounted (estate) CD player. Now, it's not the poshest radio around and I was wondering how easy it would be to upgrade it?
I understand that there's a problem with the 12v and switched 12v being reversed in the ISO connectors, that's fair enough.
I also understand that there's not much room behind for extra gubbins, well I'll have a bit of a rummage behind if need be!
The one thing that concerns me is that there is an amplifier somewhere that may need circumventing? Or is that just the fancy Bose system?
I'm not worrying about the display not showing the radio info, I can live with that.
What are the standard speakers like and in the estate I'm guessing all you get is the four door speakers?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yours may have the Philips amp system, certainly won't be Bose (unless retro fitted)

red & yellow wires for the permanant & ignition live can some be 4r$e about face so need to be switched around to maintain memories when you turn the ignition off. My son fitted a radio to a friends car - he need his dad to sort it out for him when it didn't work as expected. The red & yellow wires of the adapter loom already had bullet connector to enable to easily swap the feeds around.
