Apparently there is no reason why lorry should be more expensive than fuel for cars.

Local stations are 5-10p a litre cheaper than Tesco/Sainsbury .....etc..etc.

In the south east, we appear to be being held at artificially high prices
I bought 99 octane in Tewksbury two weeks ago for less than standard unleaded here and diesel at less than standard unleaded in these parts. Our closest refinary is only 30 miles away so they cant claim transport costs

I paid about £1.37 per litre of diesel at Costco Avonmouth the other day, which is a helluva lot cheaper than anywhere else.  ::)

Likewise at Costco yesterday ... 137.9p for diseasal. First time in a while I've managed to brim the tank of the ML from virtually empty & still manage to pay at pump.  :y :y

Still cant fill mine at Pay at Pump, though looks like our Tescos now preauthorises to £120, so maybe they are in the process of upping the limit :).

Just shy of £1.60 for Opti's favourite oily fuel here.  I did think of filling at Costco when I was in Coventry last week, but the 30 minute queue wasn't worth the effort.

My local indy garage has been price matching Tesco recently and is about £1.49 give or take a halfpenny thruppence.

There's another indy garage over in Chard which is about 15 miles from me that has been 5 or 6p a litre cheaper again. So if the indys can undercut or even match the supermarkets, you know that they're shafting us!  ::)  >:(

They (all, not just supermarkets) seem slow to lower prices.  I know they claim that they bought their stock at a higher price, blah blah, but they are always quick to raise prices inline with everyone else.

I think fuel is pretty competitive, and the actual retailer (supermarket or otherwise) makes about 10ppl, so an average of about £4 per punter, based on the 40l average fill (40l? I believe in only going to pumps when I really, really, REALLY need to! Hence, rarely less than 70l).

Clearly, the oil companies are still creaming it in currently, so they will get zero sympathy from me when oil prices are decimated.  And the government creaming off the majority, well, I suppose they have to pay for all the lame, lazy, leftie do-gooders not to work  >:(

The only EU rule we've got rid of in favour of our own is pissing me right off.  You know our civil service couldn't arrange a piss up in a brewery.

Yes Brexit was supposed to make the country less bureaucratic, with more flexibility and nimbleness. It seems the Establishment didn't get the memo....  :-\  ::)  ;D

I was gonna say that surely everybody knew that was going to be the case, but turns out I'm wrong, as 52% didn't....

The civil service (theres a contradiction in terms) have decided they aint having it. They are blocking every change thats supposed to have happened, particularly in the Home Office.
As they have decided they have the right to run the country in an affront to democracy, maybe we should start getting all Stalinist on them.
I can only dream.  :)

Im pretty sure its got a lot worse. They have all been to Uni in recent decades and are therefore devout Socialists who have no allegiance to their own country.
The cull becomes more urgent by the day.  :)
