if light is out but power still low the first place i'd look is for splits or leaks in intercooler and pipes

not sure about 2.0l and v6 but i had a cd and a gls 2.5 td and wiring looms were same apart from gls had more plugs going nowhere.
wiring loms are cheaply mass produced and the main part probably same in all. ussally just need to find right plug and switch. if you got both cars side by side then should be no problem but if you change the m.i.d from the cdx to the gls then you'd need a little help from tech2.

mine is rubber hose hoseclipped from the sender to the steel pipes. my car leaked from the return pipe and if parked up long enough would need to almost flatten battery or burn out starter before starting

in the floor of the boot is a round panel that screws to floor. this gives easy access to the pipes

LSD was only on the V6 police cars IIRC

my old 1994mreg 2.5td which was only a poverty spec gls had a lsd as optional extra fitted on the production line,

LSD's on Omegas are very rare, only ones which had them are 3.0/3.2 ex-plods and generally the manuals too.]

how come my old 1994 2.5td(tractor) was delivered new to its 1st owner with lsd? and it was only a boring gls spec on steel rims
