My point, though, was how much the senny has improved with simple servicing since he's had it :y

There was no way it would have kept up when i first got it.

Its getting there... few more months and it should be ready  :)

Ready for what? Your trip around Europe?

Yep.

Planning a 6,000 mile trip around Europe to see what's what over there....

Things left to do:

Rear Springs
Brake Pads
Brake Fluid
Aux Belt
Water Pump
Investigate leaking injector(s) .....
2 new front tyres
Few dash bulbs here and there.....

After that should be ready  :)

Ahem....

Change the plugs!  ::)
Throw a couple of bottles of forte petrol treatment through the system.
Clean the breather system/ICV
Change the useless viscous fan for an electric one (I have one if you need it).
Do a couple more oil changes (at least!)

And of course....we havnt started to work on the 3.0V6 yet either!

Senator would stick no chance against the MV6 around the tight ones....the Omega balances quite nicely round corners....Senator is to nose heavy...(but then it has got a boat anchor under the bonnet ;))
