Omega General Help / Omega B Estate 2003 Power Steering Pump
« on: 27 March 2024, 10:20:58 »
I have been trying to get a replacement/refurb power steering pump for sometime with no success.
I purchased one that said it fits but it didnt.
The part number I have been told is correct is OEN 24436787.
The part number on the pump label is ZF 7691 955 313        CLIENT   24 436 397
The number on the back of the pump  is 91 128 at top and 89 at bottom.
I have though about getting it reconditioned but was quoted about £400
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Tillers

Hi all,
Please can anyone advise where this unit is located, as i feel this may be the problem.
I have looked in the drivers footwell behind the fuse box area and cant see anything obvious.
I have an odd fault developed and when I open the drivers door it locks all the other 3 doors.
Sometimes when you lock the car the interior light does not go off.
Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks for help much appreciated

They're M8, and you use a 13mm spanner/socket.
You can get new manifold nuts anywhere. When I did the headgaskets on mine, I replaced all the studs, nuts and downpipe nuts with new for £5 to give you some idea
Thanks for help much appreciated

M8. As I recall that might also be all metal self locking. The distorted thread type.
.

Thanks for help much appreciated

Thans for advice much appreciated.
How difficult is to move the sensors.

My bet is P0430/0420 and the fix is to move the second O2 sensors to behind the main CATs rather than in front of them..
