Very true about the omega

306's aint that bad and the diesel ones are completely bullet proof later 306's are quite reliable electrically too!

why do they say in the article avoid police owned ones?, surely it at least guarantees they have been maintained with no expense spared ;)

Because they are Ragged to f**k and made to go upto 100mph over speedhumps! i certaoinly would never own a filth car again

btw they dont get much maintanance theyre test expempt!

To be fair I've had loads and I mean loads of ex-police motors and all of them have been more reliable than cars I have bought that were non ex-plod. Yeah they may have been thrashed but they have one of the most comprehensive service histories of most cars on the market today. Just my tuppence worth.

no no NO!!! My girlfriend has a 306, 2000 V reg, only 65k on it, she's had it a long time, and although well looked after and not harshly driven, its F**KED!!! it just doesnt ever have a trouble free day

Agreed ..............I had a great 3.2 plod estate.............with no problems.................plods are well worth a look ...........but don't pay too much. :y :y :y :y

A mate of mine has owned an ex-plod unmarked 306 (P Reg) for a number of years and had hardly any trouble with it :y :y
