General Discussion Area / Re: Need Your Help In Choosing A Car..
« on: 07 February 2008, 16:18:42 »
I recently was looking for a company car had to be diesel and under 16K.

My advise for what it's worth :

Get a Meriva Design XP with the 1.7 diesel and spec all the extras !

Comes to less than 16K, looks the dogs 'dangle berries' with the 17inch wheels and body kit, very practical and rather nippy & agile.

I'd but money that if you could identify bidder1, he would cross reference to the selller. He's shrill bidding IMO as a veteran ebayer.

Following the meeting, they are offering:

Higher salary
More holiday, with more regluar increases
More regular salary and cost of living rises.

And they REALLY want me onboard.

As soon as I've got their offer in writing, I'm going to be telling the other (small) employer that I'm sooo sorry, but I can't work for you anymore ::)

Welcome to the dark side !!!!!

Once you get your nhs email account you'll find me in the directory if you can be bothered !!

 ;D

It this connecting for health?

I helped set that up a couple of years back :)

Folding stands are for the Hundy, currently has a flat rear tyre and I don't own a spare. Have to fit new tyres in pairs on the rear.

Loads left in chester

pack was 17.2ah
900a peak
compressor
lights
3 fag lighters

24.99
hmmm, sounds cheap.  will go and check what mine is...

Got this last time round, IMO don't !

The leads are far too big to get aroud most battery terminals I've tried. And imo it doesn't pack much of a starting punch, doesn't stay charged for long, doesn't really know when it is and isn't charged.

The only advantage to this one over my nice expensive Halfrauds one costing £90 is that it doesn't have a polarity check.

When the Hundy goes completely flat over the winter, the battery doesn't have enough charge in it to allow the halfrauds one to detect that the leads are correctly oriented, so it won't power on.

I will however be purchasing a pair of those stands.

I've just seen a 3.0 MV6 in black come up for sale on a 2000 W plate with 55k miles.

If I sold my :

1999 2.0 16V CDX
Leather Trim
CCRT700, unmarked bar a couple of rust bubbles on rear doors and a wee dent in boot lid.
Good tyres and unmarked alloys, full service history including cam belt changes at 40K and 75K, now on 99991 miles.
Everything works, no rattles etc etc has 6 months MOT and 11 months Tax. Champagne gold in colour.

Would I be realistic in wanting £1400 for it ? (Tax being worth over £150)

Cheers for comments guys.

General Discussion Area / Opelfix or Vauxfix ?

How do I clearly identify if my car has the Vauxhall child seat preparation ?

I believe it was optional and had to be ordered not fitted by default.

Cheers
