Looks can be deceptive.

If you want the CCRT then bite the bullet and go back, if you don't it's bugger all use to you.

I highly reccommend the phone, it works from the steering wheel controls and the sound is excellent at 90 leptons  :y

You need a GID :

GID for CCRT support - Fitted to all the cars with CCRT radio sets, supports all the functions of the MID in a half height dot matrix display with some dedicated symbols to allow text etc from the phone function to be displayed, only fitted to mini facelift onwards and is coded to the radio unit via tech 2. Has a single grey connector.

Where did you get the CCRT700 from ?

That's what I meant  ::)

but I knew you'd be along in a minute to give the technical details !

Speed wires are in passenger kick panel, look in CARIN thread for colours.  :y

You will note that the connectors are totally different physically but the wiring is the same so all the wires are there.

let me point out that these units are interchangeable to some extent, have three units, a 530, a 530 with older software and a 522. The 520 and the 522 require a colour screen.

It could be that your unit has been replaced in the past ?
Is it on the cd unit in the boot that you get the part number from.

It is on the back of the unit but yours is 581/75, a 520 needs a colour screen :

I thought the Omega had the Carin 520

If it did it would have Mk2iC 22SY586

I think the software is now in the public domain as it's so old.

Pity I can't find a disc :(

they seem to be £20 on Ebay but I'm skint as a skint thing until I shift some of the Navigation kit I have aquired, Panasonic, Clarion, Colour Carin, Mono Carin etc etc.

Come to think of it I'm surprised I've not been divorced.
