Potentially coming back to the fold !!
« on: 07 January 2010, 10:12:24 »

Morning All, and a Happy New Year.

I have the chance to buy an Omega and thus return :)

Question is, what's this worth in your opinions ?

March 2001 Omega Estate 2.5 TD Elite.
88K With a manual box (aparently)
Star silver.
6 months MOT
Sat-Nav/Audio/Leather are unknown, I haven't seen the car yet.

Ball park figures welcomed.

Cheers

Thats a rare one (although i hate using word rare on Omega)

With those miles, i personally would pay £2k for that

'Rare' ?

Rocking horse poo comes to mind :)

I was thinking around 2K providing it had at least got the leather, Sat-Nav would be nice and was only a £400 option so might be in there.

1st reg in March 2000.

That's more than likely a 'full fat' facelift isn't it ?

Facelift came out Autumn 1999, so depends on stock levels.

Not many Elite TDs come up, less manuals. Tend to get more manual estates than saloons though. But I wouldn't call it mega rare...

To clarify because I made a mess of the initial post.

It's a March 2000 Elite 2.5 TD Estate.
It is actually an auto box.

How much is it worth ?

Anything I should be looking out for when I view it ?

Apart from the usual service history bit, ask how often the oil has been changed. Should be at least every 4/5k, ask for proof if poss. No cambelt to worry about as such, but check for running at correct temp, had a few on here with stat/pump failures lately. If you know the omega then you'll know about the rest to look for, wishbones, steering probs etc

shame about auto.  that will fail.  If you want to chipped (really worthwhile on td), it needs stronger box

It was lovely, Company plus one owner from new. Full Vaux service history, no marks outside. Was on VX 17'' alloys with full black electric leather.

Sold for £1550 !!!

Just too rich for me this time :(

Expensive, but if I saw it & it was perfect, I would be tempted.  ::)
