« on: 02 June 2008, 15:15:48 »

Hi , presume my autochanger is buggered as it plays but bleeps and the display says CD SAFE, I have the stereo with phone built into it in my elite, Phillips / Bose make . Autochanger is Blaupunkt and wont eject the cartridge .

Which stereo is this ?
Is there a fix?
If not what type of autochanger do I need to source? cheers for any answers in advance

You have the marvelous

Phillips BOSE CCRT 700 Stereo

with a blaupunkt CDC 2 Changer

you need the CD Changers code as it has obviously lost power and needs its code again

PM Dave DND he should be able to help you!

Yes, on all minifacelift cars (1998 and 1999), CD Changer has its own code, seperate from radio code.

The code number for the changer is different to the head unit.

However, we can supply the code number for the CDC2 via our online decode service

Ok now getting on my nerves,  I have the code courtesy of Davednd, thing is it is actually playng the CD but beeping every 2 seconds over the music whilst CD SAFE flashes in time with the beep on the display. I have, as advised unplugged stereo and autochanger for hours to no avail. I dont get chance to put the code in as the CD just works  >:(

I would rather it just didnt bloody work at all as would be less irritating!

Any ideas?

Sounds like you may have an incorrect Head unit / changer configuration?

Not all CDC2`s will work with all head units ?

Just a thought?   :-/

Silly question but have you actually entered the code into the stereo ?

Press and hold the CD button as you power on the unit until 'code' appears then enter the code.

An alternative solution would be to de-activate the code from the stereo and the changer, really can't see anyone wanting to nick it
