mp3 - radio
« on: 26 March 2007, 18:02:04 »

I know it's been discussd before but in simple terms .... what do I need to buy to get an mp3 - not an iPod - to play through my car radio (CCRT700). I know that I can use one of the cassettes with a jack plug in, but it doesn't look particularly very professional & I even bought a Belkin FM modulator but that's only so-so. Can you hard wire something into the car to do it?
TIA

I tried the freestanding FM modulators and didn't like them.  I use a tape adapter.  Works well, but I use the CD changer more b/c it is easier.  If you don't have a CD changer there should be adapters that let you connect to the harness and go in that way.  I have used adapters that give you line level inputs on other cars and those worked well.  I have used FM modulators that connect into the antenna cable, maybe easier to use than a tape adapter but still not great.

Trains may have been invented here, but public transport is a foreign concept!
